Both have 18 x and a 44mm objective so both have an exit pupil of 2.44mm (on full power) with all the limitations that brings. The 30mm tube may have given leupold some room to do something clever but its only fiddling around the edges, they are governed by the same laws of puysics all manufactures are and they are not really known for innovation these days. I didnt/havnt had a problem with either in regard to eye position. Perhaps in competition where time was crucial? but then you would most likely be using a lower magnification so lessening any possible issues.
