I have a couple of VX6's - 2-12x42 and 3-18x44, both fantastic scopes. Optically only just a tad behind Swaro 3.5-18x44 to my eyes. VX6 wins out on other features like dial up range.
I also have duplex firedot and find it suits my eyes very well. No complaints on reticle thickness, and I do use the firedot quite routinely. Firedot is the bees knees in very low light especially in the bush. Also use it for long range shots as I find the dot really helps me focus on in on the precise POA.
In terms of turret tracking I've calibrated the moa dial up and both track to 1.035 per moa not 1.05, but the dial up & tracking is very repeatable.
I agreed that the firedot works great, i have used a firedot long range duplex and it was awesome.
I'd be interested to know if someone has used the wind plex or the tmoa reticle as these are what I think id get for a 3-18.
