    Receiver bases

Can someone please confirm that Howa1500, Weatherby Vanguard, Remington 700 and Mauser M18 use the same Weaver bases? I need to get some bases organised and they are 60% cheaper on line than at the gunshop.

    Cheers Jeff

Weatherby vanguards are howa 1500's. They market them with a different name in the US to imply they aren't foreign made. The above and the remington 700 do indeed use the same bases, if we are talking two-piece ones, I'm not 100% on the hole spacings for one piece bases too. Can't say for sure re the mauser but it wouldn't surprise me.

That is correct for two piece bases. Also the later model BSA's are the same as M700.
