    Red Dot on 300Blk

Gidday Guys- new territory for me today, first time I've gotten to play with a red dot . . . . It's a Holosun HS403R going on a Ruger American 300 Blackout.

Not mine, but a cobbers favorite rifle, he uses it for shooting home kill, spot lighting, and in the bush over his dog. Mainly supers but subs when it's real close or over dog.

So, do I put it on the high mount so the trajectory "loops up through the line of sight" or low. And what distance to sight it in at?

I site for 28m for 190gr subs and it corresponds with a 140m zero with 135 sierra supers
    1.5 inch’s high at 50m
    2 inches high at 100m

I use a low mount running subsonics with a 60m zero.
