Yes that'S what they're for mate.

If you want to shoot F/TR you'll need it in 308. Otherwise 6-5 Cr has the advantage.

They're a bit heavy for offhand Shooting or hunting.

The Key is to get a good quality dial able scope first. That's your primary piece of kit for gong work. An RPR goes well underneath but so would a Tickler TAC.
