Russian firearm appreciation thread

I have a lot of time for the .22 Margolin pistols. They are inexpensive, well made, very accurate and reliable, and lend themselves to modification that makes them a World class competition pistol (barrel weights, Morini style grip, trigger job). My .22 Short Rapid Fire served me very well with those mods for many years, and I had a production line going on barrel weights for a fair while. They are still commonly available at auctions and not appreciated by new shooters who would rather spend a couple of $K on new pistols that are nowhere near as good.

My other favourite is the Ppsh 41 SMG, cheap, butt-ugly pressed steel construction, but super reliable and nice to shoot. You can fire a long burst and still be looking through the sights at the target, something scarcely possible with any other SMG.
