    Scope rails

    Pros and cons of steel vs aluminum?

    Looking at getting a 20moa base and just curious about best way to go.
    Warne steel base for my savage not that cheap and I see theriflescopestore is selling aluminum EGW pretty cheap. Anyone used these or other suggestions.

    I have EGW rails on the 300wsm and 6.5ai and haven't noticed any problems.

    I have steel and alu and no probs with either
    I rate the egw as a great product at a reasonable price

    Never had any strength issue with aluminium rail. If weights not an issue go steel for the strength factor, lite weight rig use the aluminium
