If they made the delta titanium with a better zero stop and locking turrets it would be one of the best all-round scopes out.

Have recently set up a 300 Win Mag for someone else
using the Delta Javelin (4.5-30x56) awesome glass for the money. A bit heavier than the Titanium with the bigger objective and 34mm tube but good locking turrets, illuminated reticle, incorporated throw lever and flip up lens covers etc. These scopes are starting to get good use by Prs competitors and some F class shooters on a budget here in Nz from what I've been told

I bought the capped turret model 'cos of the no zero stop. (or just pull up locking). Works ok but can be a bit of a pain taking the cap off and putting it somewhere when I need to dial.

Agreed, the guts of the turrets are perfectly machined etc, but it does seem strange that the Leupold turrets are not just copied by every manufacturer of hunting scopes for a low locking turret design

The Delta titanium intrchangeable turrets model has zero stop facility and I found these work well. A bit fiddley to set but they do the job. The 4-24*50 with 4asb reticle gives a ready thru reticle sight elevation set of stadia for shootong at longer than 200m zero and the awesome adjustable red dot illumination is great in low light and night shooting.

    They're not allowed to.
Nightforce copied the ZL turret and put it on their 4-16x42 ATACR but got in the shit, so haven't put it on any other scopes.

Why other companies can't make a decent low profile turret is a mystery though. Locking or not there are no decent low profile exposed turrets on the market.

I have the javelin as well good scope but not ideal for a hunting scope. If it was sfp it would be there too

I used to think that the lack of a zero stop was the only thing keeping the Sightron SIII from being the perfect scope for a LR hunting rig.

Now it's available as the SIII PLR 6-24×50 Zero-Stop (SFP) - just under 2K in NZ.
Difficult to find a s/h zero-stop SIII model but if you do expect to pay around $1250.

In that price range you will have a lot of quality options. I saw one suggestion for an Optika6, solid scope for sure. Also, check out Meopta ZD 6-24X56 RD. This scope is on sale at Meopta for more than 30% off and is amazing. With the discount it slides right intot he middle of what you want to spend and you'll be getting European quality glass and construction. I have one and 2 buddies now have them after looking through mine. I don't know how much longer the sale price will last, but even at full price this scope is a bargain. I have the MilDot 2 reticle which is MOA adjustments.

I do realize that, 100%. Reach out to a Meopta Dealer in NZ and ask them how much it would cost to order that scope? I was under the impression from Meopta that it is on sale throughout the world, not just the US.
