    What's classed as flat? A 7mm that's 4.5mil to 1000m? With 100m zero. . .

that's classed as who gives a shit

Like, it's going to be some intensely annoying to do wildcat thing with a short barrel life and the worst muzzleblast ever and I don't want to be in the same zipcode as it

they're not going to be that high unfortunately. those are going to be found to be exaggerated when someone does testing on them (not "in a paddock" drop testing because you can't get precise enough)

Mate i take a rest on any shot if theres one handy. Shooting past 200 a bipod or prone shot is a must for me.

i.e. what would be the 'best' round for factory ammo for this cal, for both bush & LR hunting?

I missed this but .25-06 is Real Bad.

Like don't get upset if you've already got one, but there's literally no reason to buy one at all.

Whatever it is, it's got somewhere in the neighbourhood of 3700-4000fps depending on how dumb the bullet choice is, and I wouldn't be surprised by anything

Ahh the world according to gimp...
Well there is a reason to buy one actually. They smoke fucken animals, ive owned 2, and 2 different 270s and id take the 25 every time. Very tame recoil . Not every one needs to shoot past 300 or even 500. For a point and shoot caliber it is a very good one.

Cool except factory ammo is comparatively way less common than a heap of stuff, it's inefficient as shit to reload, it kicks basically the same as a 7-08 or whatever depending on bullet choice and more than a whole bunch of stuff, and doesn't actually do anything Better at close range and definitely doesn't do shit better at long range

I'mma hand this one over to Tussock, I've gotta go do stuff

Have you used one? Ive never had an issue getting ammo. Its common enough for the stores to have it and different enough that it doesnt all get snatched up. Man it just drops reds. May be more sentiment for me as every animal ive pointed a 25 at has died most instantly
