    Is there a slide on silencer that might fit a Cooey?

    Occasionally I have a need to fix a hog in a cage on the lawn - I have a Cooey that would be fine but it makes a bit much noise - it is very original so I don’t want to thread it

    Crafty's will make one to suit . . . I don't know how good they are but as far as I can fine it's the only "made to order" slip on suppressor game in NZ

    @time out

    My mate has one made from PVC pipe, slots over and is retained by the front sight and secured by a cable tie. No need to thread the barrel.

    Did a quick drawing with my fingers on touch screen, I really DO draw better with pen and paper...

    Before you go making a silencer try some low velocity rounds like Highland super quiet or CCI. Both are around 800FPS and are well under the speed of sound so very quiet.

    tried my normal 40 and 42grn subsonics through the norinco the other day without suppressor fittrd and was surprised at just how quiet they are..without the sonic crack the volume of noise is way less.

    And how long is your Norinco's barrel? The Cooey on the pic looks like it has a long barrel by modern standards, can only help.

    probably about the same (it always feels too long) shouldve added the ammo used is winchester subsonic....and yes I would back the 42s on close range pig as Ive shot my house muttons with it a couple of times at 25-40 yards no issues....

    For close up shots very helpful to have the iron sights available, for obvious reasons.
