    The Brits restocked some p14's with a fat fore end stock , known as the fat boy . also they used m17 - 30-06 in WW2 for the home guard and painted a red band arround the butt and I think the foreend to prevent mix ups with 303 ammo . The WW1 p14 no 3 sniper rifles were all made on the Winchester made action . I sold a guy a Win and he had the scope & mounts etc and faked up a no3 out of it . I saw it do the rounds of the Auckland gun shows , gaining in price all the time , Sniper rifles would be the most commom fakes out there so it is buyer beware
