    My 85 finnlight 260 has a mag length of 2.97 inches. The only projectile I have come across that I can't have touching the lands is the Nosler 142 LRAB. Length to ogive for most projectiles touching the lands is around 2.3 inches using Hornady OAL gauge.

    I think you can buy LA bolt stop Change-out kits and magazines from the likes of Mountain tactical in the States for exactly this reason - though lord only knows the logistics in that these days - I don't even think the stores do, so i'd dive on that offer from Nick-D.
    I have the said Rifle, throated it, put a long bolt stop & mag in it & its good to go ;-)

    @Gibo

    You can take a file to the bolt stop to suit long action. I modified my short magazine as well, though feed lips were tricky to get perfect (would only feed 2 rounds reliably) so bought a long action magazine. The original magazine I take as a spare on trips.

    Berger 140s at 2800 from 20” barrel with AR2209, Lapua brass and federal match primers.

    I found out today my finnlight likes the Sierra Gamekings 130s (code 1728), doesn't seem to matter what powder charge, all half to three-quarter MOA or thereabouts. 143gr ELD-X continues to shine at half MOA as well.

    My 260 is perfect with mediarge mag. (thats the m+ mag). or just made my own by making a spacer for the back of the long action mag to line up with the med bolt stop as the bolt stop is longer than the med mag.
    Now using aics mags at 71.9mm coal 140eldm.
