Looks good, does it have that flash hider muzzle brake on it or is that a earlier model?
I have a maligned b series monarch but quite like it.

This rifle does not have one. (Thank god. I wouldnt have got it if it did have one.) That was a muzzle break, called a BESA something. You could order one these rifles with one or on the later BSA Majestics if you wanted one. I have had only one rifle with it, it was on a .270 BSA Imperial, and it was truly horrible to shoot. Blew your ears out even with ear plugs. Used tp blast dust and leaves all over you when the muzzle blast shot out sideway. I could not imagine taking it hunting. I cut it off with a hacksaw and then had yet another short barreled .270 for a little while; which are also very unpleasant to shoot but better than it was.
Just a couple of pics

@19Badger require details
Who did the stockwork? Thanks
I admire that rifle indeed.
Everett also finished these stocks, all the blanks were shaped on a duplicator

Nicest Brno's I have ever seen , what models are they if you don't mind me asking
Trigger bow looks like it's from a Model 21 with a Mauser lever release floorplate, clever bit of metal work there
This is my Parker Hale Safari deluxe. Nothing as Attachment 265794Attachment 265794flash as some previous but I still love it.Used to sit in the library at school a long time ago( really long time actually) drooling over hunting books mentioning Sakos , Parker hales etc. saw this in a shop many years ago and bought it.
Stripped back the stock ,True oiled, fitted a pad as the old one was perished from sitting in someone’s cupboard for may years. Bluing is original and the only scuffs it has are ones Ive put on it. If I only had one gun it would be this .

Sorry Erniec , 308 . Shoots Sako Gamehead 1 inch at a hundred . Quite light compared to My Bergara extreme hunter , which is “chunky”.

Been looking for one of these for a few years now. Managed to pick it up today.
Sako Finnwolf 308 with 2-7 Leupold. Not the prettiest but a bit of a project.
Nice one. All sorts of lovely bits of kit on this thread but also you come across rifles you never knew about. Didn’t realise that Sako produced a lever action. Interesting, thanks.
Got this on this forum from a good bugga.
Yet to shoot it- getting the ammo side of things sorted now.
It's a Carl Gustav 1867 model Remington Rolling block in 12.7x44 - basically a 50 cal version of 45-70.
Shoots 400 +grainers with Black Powder.
Dummy round sitting next to a 243.
Thanks to @Akaroa for advice and info about Black Powder shooting.

[QUOTE=Dreamer;1665666]Had a fondle of that not long after the stock had been finished. Very very nice!!
He puts his heart and soul into his work doesn’t he. An old time craftsman. And a top bloke.
Does he build stocks from scratch?

Laurie refurbished a couple of my stocks. If you are in a rush or inpatient find someone else. All good things take time.

[QUOTE=Southcity;1666113]People come to see me for counseling !
Well that's why I thought they were visiting.
And it turns out I'm the problem anyway, so it's like giving cocaine to an addict, throwing petrol on a fire or giving a guy stuck in a hole a bigger spade
It's worse now you've got a double as well
