    @Kelton appreciate that and agree, dpt mk2 tames my 308 xbolt (2.7kg /5lb 15oz bare) with lightweight rings and a little z6i 1-6 to a very comfortable recoil level....but a 300 wm is a lot more power/recoil than a 308 in a mountain 2.0 that is only a little bit heavier at 6.2 - 6.4lb. Just surprises me it looks so light recoiling in the JE Wilds videos.

    Im referring to a 300em t3x aswell mate i find them a pushing cartridge not snapping my saum is 7.5 pounds with vx5 dpt can and bipod its alot snappier than the 300wm with the same cans

    Interesting. I saw your SAUM when you posted up a pic if it looking to swap your March scope. A real beauty but I did wonder about the recoil as it looked light.

    I'd like to buy a lightish 6 -7lb bare rifle magnum in 7mm remmag or 300wm and run a magnum dpt with VX5 but was a bit unsure what such a light rifle would recoil like.

    7 mm mag will be a kitten at that weight and 300wm is very recoil adjustable depending on bullet weight id not hesitate just get into it only one way to find out
