    What would you do…

    Hey fellas,

I’ve got an old tikka t3 that I’m struggling to find reasons to get it out of the safe. I reckon I’m going to rebarrel into something different, not because I need to but just because I love guns… and who needs a better excuse than that.

Currently my two “mainstay” rifles are a 6.5 prc for anything within range and a 22-250 for turning anything on the farm that isn’t a dairy cow into little puffs of red mist.

I’ve got my ideas on what I’m thinking, but thought I might see what you creative bastards come up with. So let me have it - if you had a bare tikka action and the Mrs gave you an open cheque book (mine hasn’t), what would you do?

    PS… please no one suggest a 6.5 manbun/creampuff/needmoor…

    Cheers

With a Tikka t3 you gotta stick with the classics.

I want another 6BR. Such an easy round and fairly straightforward. Only downside is I'm not sure if there's a solid feed solution but I think the single stack Tikka was an better option to build off

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Maybe rebarrel it to something heavy/short range and make it a dedicated bush gun. You have everything else covered with your other two rifles.

Go with what you haven't got covered.308 family case for ease but go the fattest option the 358w plenty of grunt .reloading isn't a painful expense and it's completely different to your other two.

sell it and buy a super accurate .22 to practise with -you have your others bases covered and a 7mm08 308 or calibers like that would be wasted

Something big and slow. You have the other bases covered. Possibly a fast twist .308 to assist with throwing accurate big pills.
