The hybrid NV thermal offers the best if both worlds. Thermal can't see through transparent glass, whereas NV can. Thermal can't show text and signs, whereas NV can. NV can't pick objects that are camouflaged whereas thermal can. Now, one scope seems to be able to do it all (and wreck your bank balance at the same time).

So you can spy on the neighbour woman in her bedroom AND keep lookout for her dog outside? <D
