I’ve got this one on my trapper, it’s a solid and well protected sight.

I brought the sight thinking it was threaded to take apertures, but it wasn’t so I turned that stainless piece up intending to glue it in. But then I just used it as is and was happy.

Yea its not too bad, pretty good bluing and all round unmolested sporter condition.
Its stamped FTR 1953 as well, so maybe had this done prior to sporterisation ?
The muzzle does have a ding on the outer edge, the inner closer to the barrel looks OK tho.
The barrel was fulled with crap/corosion as i think it had been fired ages ago , but not cleaned.
I scrubbed the crap out of it after soaking it overnight with hoppes, seemed OK afterward
