    What it sounds like is that the original problem wasn't diagnosed properly and the "answer" was a bubba spring. The 5mm lift seems a bit tight, but it probably does have a half-cock stalking position.

    Many things ARE a prick of a job, working on boomstix shouldn't be if you do it right. (Except woodwork. Fuck woodwork)

    If you have the original to compare to you can measure wire diameter and spring free-length, and number of turns, and get an idea of what needs doing to the new spring but An OEM replacement should be the order, and if that doesn't work, something else needs attention.

    Sounds like it really needs a front-to-back with someone competent, and their time could be worth more than the rifle's worth.
