    Winchester Extreme Weather load o.a.l

    Hi fellas,

I've got a Winny Extreme Weather in .270 and was wondering if any of you have one and whether it likes the pills touching the lands or whether it likes a jump?

Will depend on the pill, I know Berger vld don't like a jump but classic hunters do.
What pill are you looking at shooting??

Just experimenting with SST's and Accubonds at the moment, just wondering if someone's had previous experience. Has that been the case with the Bergers across different rifles for you Hamish?

I have one in .264 win, and its shoots great with 130g & 140g accubonds and 125 partion's 20 thou off the lands, I loaded the same distance off, when I had one in 270 WSM,
270 win, your guess, is as good as mine, but I start 20-30 thou off, ( recommended in the Sierra Manual) and if I don't, get reasonable accuracy, I move that in and then back off, Barnes like a jump, 80-150 thou,
Hornardy and Nosler, I normal find a happy spot, some were between touch and 40 thou, on sporting arms,
    I jam my 6PPC into the land's.
