    I don't bother with finding true wind speed and then stuffing around with the direction it's coming from etc I just hold it pointing straight along the line of my shot (if that makes sense?) and then I know what my true crosswind value is, for example I could have a 20mph wind coming directly from 2 o'clock but it only equates to say 4mph right to left crosswind. Seems to work pretty well.
