Naaaah don't, if you really believe your .243 has suddenly been made redundant - rebarrel with the same twist as the Cm's - bigger case always goes faster with the same projectile. And if you did go 6mil CM, you gain what exactly? Driving the 95 Berger at 3050 in my .243 and it kills stuff dead fast, no need to re invent the wheel.

Last evening on the hill tonight. Picked a fat as red hind from the crowd, and dropped her good and proper. The deer had the last laugh though, rolling way the hell off down the hill as I swapped sides for the back straps and rump. Damn this country is steep. Would have been nice if it had ended up down there in the first place...





Watched a beaut stag this arvo, truly a stunning animal, best I’ve seen for a good while. Would have thought about a shot on a different day but wasn’t the plan, didn’t have the daylight, the tools or the inclination....
