    Blooding the new .308

The .308s being busy the past two weekends talking 4 red deer and one good size fallow absolute joy to use and being back to basics shorting off the shoulder at the shoulder with no rangefinders has being a breath of fresh air first weekend it sported my VX6 where I decided it was far more complicated and over scoped than what I intended so it now sports a wee 3-10 BRH swaro lovly little rifle . The factory 150sp sako 50 packs are devastating happy to use them until iv built up enough brass but also a breath of fresh air using off the shelf ammo .

Luckily it’s bbq season and theirs plenty of homes for the meat because I just don’t want to stop.

You sound just as enthusiastic about the simplicity of it all as I was when I went back to basics.

Great going there and lots of shed work ahead!

Its good to hear that someone else enjoys the simplicity of an old school rig. Well done, there a bit of processing in that lot.

That's a nice tidy set up. I rate the Sako Gamehead, use in 223 and 7mm08 to good effect.

With you on simple things, hung up the compound and got a simple recurve, great stuff. I've been looking around for a 3-12 scope with parallex adj. Dannb did have one but wasnt parting with his, and then he sold it before i spotted the sale so back to looking.Must have a nosy on the internett on your one.

Correct only because I dropped a mates brand spanking magnum dpt when I had his rifle for the load development and put a small mark on the rear section but it was brand spanking so I did right and ordered him a new one and used the rear section on mine and swapped the baffles over to suite each cartridge, I wanted to go with out but one range trip and it’s to much on the ears so dropping his one sealed the fate

Mines fixed parallex but is fine for my use certainly is limited options when zooms so “low”
