I had an amazing experience last night while we were round at our son's babysitting. About 9pm, their rather dumb British Blue cat rips in the catdoor looking shit scared. He was staring at the catdoor and I assumed another tomcat had been after him. I jumped up and went to their deck door and didn't immediately see anything but on looking down, here was a ferret with his nose pressed against the acrylic of the catdoor. Looked exactly the colouring of this one I immediately found in a Google search.
I didn't think ferrets could be that brazen but clearly they are. I'll have to dig out my ferret cage trap and set that round there. There are heaps of rabbits in the adjacent orchards so I guess it's an attractive place to live.
