It's a Howa Mini in 223 with an Elude chassis from Shooter Ready in Cambridge.. Had the barrel shortened to 14 inches and Carbon Wrapped. Got an Aimpoint on top. 2.6 kg all up from memory. Really compact and easy to point and shoot. Great little bush gun. I would love one in 6.5 Grendel.

How old is Bea now? I've got a viszla x heading, shes 18months. Great dog but still vibrates on the spot when she's excited. Last hunt I did a tummy wrap on her and she slowed right down. That was only after her pulling a head and us being busted by several lots of sika.

She's 18 moths too. What do you mean by Tummy Wrap?

Loop the long line around the dogs belly so when they pull a head it pulls tight, they hate it and learn quickly to stay in range

@Chur Bay, how do you find the barrel that short in 223? How much velocity did you loose? Thinking abut giving my one the chopper aswell.

@Scotts I shortened the barrel up because it just seemed too long on the chassis. It shoots well enough for me being a bush rig. No doubt I've lost velocity but at the ranges I'm shooting, I doubt it makes much difference.
Definitely no regerts as it's so handy to carry around.
