    A dream becoming reality

Earlier this week I took the day off work to have my first crack of the year pursuing hard antler Sika stags with @mawzer308 . It’s suffice to say the day that unfolded is one we won’t won’t forget. I would absolutely love to share the full story with you all but I intend to sit down at some point and get it done properly.

The hunt had my heart through the roof on more then one occasion and managing to make it all come together seems a wee bit surreal. Massive shoutout to James as it was a team effort for sure. I was just privileged enough to be the team member on the trigger.

He was fully hard underneath and has been stripped by Ruahine Taxidermy ready for staining and mounting. Unofficial DS of 216 6/8.

Congrats Mate ,jeez it is in great condition ,amazing the difference in Islands, down here we still have some of them with Velvety palm sized Nubs & after the weird conditions/ weather again like last year, with Floods ,summer snow on the tops & weeks of rain & gale force winds ,in the last few weeks l am betting on us having a Roar stretching out hit & miss for 6 weeks later than usual like last year here on the Southland ,West Coast .

Love the second pic of the Food Hoover, with the dopey " I Found Dis & Never Got A Bikky " look on its face.

    Nice stag mate, well done.

Did you roar him or did you just come by him and shoot him?
