    Great story. Reminds me of a lot of the things that have happened to me and probably many others over the years. When you think you've left something behind at camp make sure you throughly check your pack before you decide you haven't got it. Well done, good stalking isn't always slow, concentrate more on quiet foot placement and look at everything very well.

    Good write up. Plus 1 for the carry belt. You will never try to backpack a deer again after using one.

    Carry belt in action. 20 bucks from mitre 10. 30 or 40mm wide. The wider the better. The other side legs behind you. No blood dribbling down your back.
