Wasn't much roaring on Monday just a few croaks, mate shot a big bodied 9 pointer Monday night over the back.

We headed to waiua hut I think he said , lake tennyson area . Never been there so be good just being somewhere new .... and with my luck as late expecting to probably walk out empty handed anyway . Just looking forward to spending some time with my mate and being in the bush more than anything .

The best news for North Canterbury this year is that Hales hasn’t been clobbering them from the air.

No but he is flying hunters into and out several times a day at the moment and has been for the last 2 weeks. I know as he flies past my house and I can almost see his place from my front deck.

I too will be giving it a miss now until after Easter as every man and his clowns will be out and about.
