    Pictures from the weekend

    Had a mate visiting, so....

    *Finished at lunchtime friday.
    *Lovely trip up the lake.

    * Useful sign, it tells you where not to go!!

    *Shouldered packs and headed off.

*Spent the next day searching for redskins !

*Spotted two large bodied stages just at first. light but lost sight of them just as quick.

*Next was a mature hind, safe from us tho.

*Not so safe was the 4th and last deer seen for the trip. A yearling perfect !

*Cooled some primo meat by the stream.

    *Enjoyed some nice food.

    *Had some good company.

*Got saw legs walking back to the boat.

*Happy to get the pack off

    * Didn't have to bail out much water from the rain so that was good.

    * Tried for the venison, trout double but had to admit defeat

    * A pretty dam good weekend spent with a good mate in one of the top of the south's great places !!

    * Good for both the mind and body (well maybe not the legs)

    * Happy days

I stayed away as they have cullers up there at the moment, so went low down in one of the valleys.

Awesome photos Kukuwai, not a bad way to spend a WE at all. Nice to see the 1080 didnt get them all and a few deer out as spring kicks off.

Lakes, boats, mountains, hunting - definitely my definition of paradise.
