    Shame New Zealand didn’t get these.

    Muntjac and Chinese Water Deer would have done well in New Zealand.

    yup we needed more - forget those two - axis were released but sadly - now those would have been nice - sadly they only released whitetail in the communist south - would have gone really well in mainland north island -

    I thought axis did get released in the NI? Or am I thinking of blacktail.

    Roe deer would have done really well too. I suspect that they were never valued as a trophy animal which is why they were not released here, they'd be everywhere if they had been.
