Just a short video of a few roos shot this morning with the 6mm Creedmoor and 108gr ELD-M's + 108gr Elite Hunters. The last 2 where with the Bergers. Rangers where 170m-195m for these in the video.

"O what a day, what a lovely day"
these things look tasty... Anybody had a go at cooking em??
Use enough gun
That last shot with a Berger looked a bit, uh, bottom of the lungs. Shall we say.
What did you think of the Bergers performance? I've got a box here to try, they shoot good but I haven't killed anything yet.
Yep it was a bit on the low side. Rifle wasn’t sighted in for them just wanted to use the 5 rounds up.
The wallaby before that one was a Berger as well.
When I used them for a play and was properly sighted in for them they worked. Shot a few roos and one deer at around 280m from memory with them and they died just the same as if I’d shot them with the Hornady’s.

Apparently the Waimate cafe serves a really tasty wallaby pie.

If you have a garden and a library, you have all you need. Oh, and a dog, and a rifle
thanks enjoyed that the little buggers dont stick around after their mate shot - not having shot them do they come back after shooting their mates or thats it -- deer give them some time and especially later in day will come out again just curious
They do appear again. They can be pretty dumb. It's just about having the patience to wait. You can sit watching a face in the evening and one by one you will get the majority of them. 10- 20-30, what ever. I will wait and try to get the majority but our mate Rod just creams them off and then moves on. He gets better tallies than me and covers a lot of country. If I get 20 in an evening he will get 30-40 through keeping moving and covering the country.
Here's a face I got 30 off. Sitting on those rocks and shooting them opposite. 3pm to dark, early spring.

Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.
has any one tried the old Aboriginal method - decent fire - plenty of embers - dont bother gutting just chuck it on and when its good and black and charred take it out scrape of the charcoal and tuck in - well thats how they do it on TV - give it a go let us know how it turned out

expect nothing, appreciate everything - and there's ALWAYS something to appreciate
no we really could be onto something here imagine going to a restaurant ethnic Kiwi hunting taste sensation a dirty big fire and the chef is tossing on wallabys possums deer hindquarters small wild pigs- various ducks and canada geese - they are taken out black scraped of sprinkled with kawakawa leaves and served on big kahikatea wooden trays- yeah could be a goer - big pot cabbage and spuds - hokey okey ice cream for dessert all go
Bottom of lungs actually works extremely well on them if your using a non varmint type load as it gives projectiles a bit of resistance to work on. Centre mass works very well if spine is hit.... And another thing, and it's a bit weird.all the years I've shot roos, and chased them around with dogs I've shot one with a short tail but never ever shot a wounded one...not one. Nothing with a bullet hole or random pellets, which leads me to believe they must die pretty darn quickly from any sort of wound,or dogs would find them ,and they just never did. I've used pretty much every combination possible to kill them from 50 grns varmint pills going warp speed right up to/ down to slow big 405 grains of hard cast lead. Shotgunned them with all loads and even shot a few with .22lr. they aren't hard to kill.
