    Man I would be dam near suicidal if i had to drive 8 or even 4 hours to go for a hunt!

    Amen to that.

    I remember driving from our place in Switzerland to the missus grandparents in Germany , 1050 Kim's door to door.

    Left home at 1600 and pulled up st the front door in hamburg at 0030 to a well earned schnapps und bier.

    That and 4 days and nights of Omas cooking was the only thing that made it worth. Otherwise a mind numbing slog even at an average of 120kph.

    Quite usual for many of us VC
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    Not so I am 5 Minutes from Otawa, 40 minutes from Kaimai's and 40 minutes from Rotorua lakes area.
    North Island is all good. Only place in North Island that sucks is Wellington but thats because Auckland blows!!!!! Oh wait thats the wrong way around?
