I bought that from the proceeds of the ackley set up (around $5k) absolute bargain in my eyes.

Th 3F will stay for now.... 1 day either a 350 chev or a ford barra would be pretty sweet. For now there is far more to concern myself with than the motor. Dreams are free

Did a bit of sorting today, fitted inner guards, mocked up panels to check fitment and did some work removing the crease in the rear corner the previous owner did. Will still need to tig a bolt on and get a puller on it to get the last little bit out before sanding and priming but it's getting there. All the panels need to come back off for painting as well. The bull bar is sitting about 2" low as it's not on the mounts it's just sitting on the chassis rails, I'm gonna coat it in raptor or similar black, remove the hoops and hide a winch cradle behind it.
I had a bit of time left after that so decided I'd check the flex on the old girl, the back end flexes awesome we actually ran out of l8ft on the jack or it would have flexed higher without the other 3 wheels lifting, the front didn't flex as well so I may look at a swaybar quick disconnect kit or something to improve articulation in the front, also checked the rear diff and it's a nice tight LSD so will fit an air locker in the front first. A second air locker will be fitted in the back when funds allow.
    Anyways here's todays pics

I don't have a 270wsm barrel, will probably get another dirty 06 or 7 rem mag or 300 win mag eventually. I'm not scared to use the Lupo in all weather it's already been out in the rain

Recently bought a LJ78 to spend money on as 80s are mega$ even for rooted ones.

That looks like a cool project.
My mate just bought an early 12v 80 series for $12k . Its got 470000 kms on it but it was owned by a panel beater and had a full respray 2 years ago.

He buys and sells 4x4s for a hobby and said the market has definitely taken a turn in the past few months. Are there pics up of your 78?
