Thread: 4x4 camper conversion ideas...

I considered a RTT for our Landcruiser, but we head into some quite rough bush four wheel driving and camping, and ripping the canvas was a major concern for us. As well as the added height which is already an issue with our Wagon having quite a high roofline already. A RTT would end up being over 7ft of the ground by the time it was mounted to racks on the roof.
2nd option was a poptop caravan, lifted onto some decent sized tyres for a bit of ground clearance. or possibly a teardrop style camper trailer.
There is an outfit in Australia that does poptop roof conversions for Landrovers and I think, Landcruisers too.
