Brought my my 2014 SR5 hilux for $43000 7000km 3 years ago, 3 years on its done 72000km and got offered $36000 as a trade. Same toyota dealer.
So $7000 over 3 years i think is not bad. Not upgrading happy with what iv'e got.
But that is the difference when buying a toyota they hold there value, just like honda motor bikes
What ever you buy you have to be happy with the vehicle it self , the sales man/woman and after sale service
My 2013 Ranger, I paid 38k on Road with folding tray cover and tow bar, got offered,a couple of months ago, $27k as a trade in with 140k on the clock. I thought that was ok?
I've got an LT 2018 and I rate it.
I'm a Ford man and it hurts to say. But really happy with it. Handles well little bit noisy but does everything right. I used to own a series 1 Ranger. (Cough cough 3 6R80 trans later). No problems so far knock on wood.

Looking forward to seeing how the new Holdens go over a next couple of wee while hearing good things for when the time comes to replace that current hilux .. good to hear it’s not just me having issues with the local toyota dealer with our last veichle service has been poor to say the least service has dropped off IMHO sealed the deal for us and will be purchasing differently next time...
Just to add insult when it comes to the business vehicles they bend over backwards to help never any issues silly bastards really makes you pissed off..obviously being being a loyal customer and only upgrading the private wagon every 5-6years isn’t enough these days 🤨
Sales service does count for a lot. Soon as I handed over my deposit I got no service or help at all..... Vehicle will be serviced with Mitsubishi somewhere other than where I brought it!
