Mate ,are you talking trailers or caravans,(the term used to be straight Fwd,)...I’ve shipped 4 (caravans)from the states,it used to be easy and inexpensive, not so now...the rules changes, regarding A/C and power sources plus other issues have made it very difficult to get a WOF.The first 3 were quite profitable as the restrictions were “loose”,the 4th one,now sits in the back yard as a visitor pad due to the unreasonable requests buy MOT,to comply with the new standards. Not sure of issues with importing from oz.If you are talking trailers as in trailers then flush this post

There are sevral caravan builders in Kiwi, that I’ve looked at,not bad work at all,a little spendy, but at least once it’s built it complies with all codes and requirements. There is something to be said about spending your $$$$$ locally.

Currently have a bare single axle with a wooden surround (greedy boards) on it. Been thinking of building walls / roof kitchen awning etc and looking for plans.

Came across these Conqueror Australia Off-Road Campers

They seem the ducks nuts!!!! Probably ay more than I would need but worth a look into costs
