No. Dust still gets in. That's the problem.

So smaller capacity is the only way to get round it.
The V6 twin turbo actually makes more HP and KW than the V8.

The V8 has been plagued with issues anyway. The EGR system blocks badly, and the engines suck dust in which in turn buggers up the turbos and then engine. We've replaced lots at work.
After seeing what we have to do to them all the time, I wouldn't touch 1...not without a new car warranty anyway.
Interesting what about the later ones withe DPF? problems?

How do the new regs on emissions work?
Is it a percentage of "bad" stuff in the exhaust that must not be execeded or a total amount?
How will heavy transport get around them?

Just looking at the specs for the different classes of passenger and light comercial none of the emissions requirements have got tighter since 2015. ?

The new specs came out this year. Much more stringent regs. Euro7?
Thats why all the utes are now under 2.8L. Lots of smaller motors with twin turbs to try and make more efficient. Highly strung and wound up like a spring. Watch them blow!

All bullshit greenies blowing smoke up their asses shit.

i will tell you that getting rid of the egr function on a common rail diesel vastly improves power and economy , turbo lag drops too

How about tesla electric motors for all the torque benefits etc.

And instead of the massive battery of cells, use a nice sounding alloy V8 etc to run a giant Alternator.

Got the herbs of the modern elec shit, with the sound of the old cool shit.
    And probably lighter too.

Would be interesting to see one up to the door handles crossing the Rakaia or just a big puddle, blue flash?
