To the OP, are you mechanically minded and do you own work? If you are I’d just keep the Ute you’ve got, easy to work on, easy to get parts for and probly cheap (online auto parts oz is great)

I did this exercise afew year ago and ended up with a manual 2014 holden colorado. It has been absolutely bullet proof since.
Pre 2015 don't have dpfs or the auto box issues like the later ones and don't have a massive price tag like alot of the other brands
Yes, consider an injector for a common rail starts around the $425+mark and depending on the model and specific injector goes up to over $1000+ per squirter. If you have a 5 or 6 cylinder engine... Injection pumps for the common rail systems are cheaper generally though, for an example the T6 engine injector pump can be had for around $1700+ where some of the mechanical piston injection pumps are several thousand. Remember to add the injector fitting and seal kit and a couple of gaskets and some labour to those prices. You can go for rebuilt/exchange, but... Not actually that much cheaper than replacing with new.
Not a cheap exercise, I had one blocked injector due to an overzealous application of sealant by a factory worker in Thailand - thanks mate. I also had one electrically damaged by the offending computer module in the vehicle. Elected to replace the set, total bill including some other work was $6500. Still got to catch up with the injection pump, as that has an electrically damaged valve in it which is a pain in the arse.
Well the decision might have been made for me. This morning the ute wasn't where I parked it last night and in its place was an old Mazda sedan with the lights on and a few windows smashed, so apparently my ute was part of a musical chairs of steal the vehicle.
Don't like my chances of seeing it again as despite the rather obviously stolen vehicle still sitting right there, 7 minutes after reporting it to the police I get a letter saying "We have assessed the information you provided and currently we can’t take any further action because there is not enough to investigate at this time.". I think they don't have a very good grasp on the English language as they mean, they won't take any further action, not can't.
So looking online a Triton in the mid to late 2010s with 150-180,000 kms looks like it might fit the bill. Any further updates, I'll not be ready to buy for another month or so as I'm moving house start of June (lucky I have a Hino truck here to help move stuff or that'd be awkward...).
Bro thats a shit update
hopefully you didnt leave your lucky headlamp in there

The Tritons are definitely under appreciated in NZ. Until the latest V6 Rangers came out, they were one of the only utes with AWD for sure footed driving on the road.
Bare in mind the super select 4WD system was not available on every model.
I spent a lot of time test driving utes of every flavor before getting one that handled as well as my Prado on gravel, and wet slippery roads. Other than the AWD going for the Triton, everything else was on par with the other manufacturers offerings. Possibly only losing out on 3.5T towing capacity (3.1T for the Triton), and being a bit less appealing to the eye (way better than the Kia Tasman).
Need a dislike button for that one, rough day man, did you take the mazda to work tho?

I mean the one that got left behind

Lol, ah, no. Based on the baby seat and prescription medicine in it, I believe it was needed by someone more than I. It's now gone so it's either been stolen again or the rightful owners have either found it or told by the police where it is.
Will keep a look out down here, that's a tidy ute, bugger.
That's a bit shit and even shitter response from plod but...not enough resources, if we increased the force by 50% then that'd make a real difference, especially out rural.
I had a "visitor" the other morning around 5.30am trying to get into the shed, I was just getting ready to surprise him but Bryn gave the game away by sounding off, by the time I got out...the visitor has left, rude bugger didn't even introduce himself!
Needless to say, security has been tightened, sadly it's that time of year when the dropkicks in Dunners start casting their net further afield, it's the same around Christmas....wankers
