I sometimes wonder about the safety risks of DIY on EV's
I don't know much about them, but am aware that the voltages can be as high as 600 VDC from a low impedance source. That means high current delivery capability in short time, equally as dangerous as high power valve radio transmitters that killed a few technicians in the old days.
Modern super capacitors can be quite lethal too, with low voltage, but very high current (fire).
if you calculate the energy, we are in some cases, talking about the equivalent of a slab of TNT about the size of a pound of butter.
