I suggest you consider a plastic lidded battery box down after. They often come with straps to secure and appropriate ‘staples’ riveted to hull will prevent movement. Could do the same with totes; fit tiedown points in appropriate areas. There’s nothing worse that having a cluttered workspace in a small boat. Ideally you need to work from a very plain setup before adding weight/obstructions. How did I know he had all that sh*t in his boat? I helped recover it when he got dusted trying to launch through the surf.

thanks for your insight, i will take note about the totes i have spent the afternoon sitting in the boat moving stuff around thinking how everything will work. maybe i stick to 1 tote (25l) and when i need extra ill use a couple of smaller 10litre containers that can be stacked/strapped away smaller etc. i have a plastic battery box on its way which will get mounted out of the way somewhere possibly under where the driver is sitting? its all brainstorming at the moment
