Thread: boot sealants

I bought some asolo boots bout 5 years ago. Around the 5 hundy mark, so not dear but not cheap.
Started with sno seal on them regularly but kept getting wet feet.
Bout 2 years ago binned that and went to nikwax, still wet feet.
Recently got a sampler of hubberds shoe grease, still wet footsies but not as bad. Throughout all this I've noted :
I remove the laces to get into the corners etc.
This is not caused by stream crossings, I wear gaiters to combat that.
It wouldn't bother me so much but the boys often say ' my feet are dry , how bout yours kid?' And I have to grudgenly admit mine are sopping.
I have checked the boots for holes etc numerous times and found none.
It's doin my head in and am starting to think I'll never have dry toes at the end of a hunt.
Any thoughts?
