    Either buy or rent a PLB. if you arent used to using maps or being well away from people having a "help I'm injured/ lost, please come get me" button is literally a lifesaver

    Yes 16Tontovarish, that is the first thing I will pick up before I head out. As you said I am not used to un-habitated places. Suggestion taken..
