Aero press for extended trips with a camp, light and indestructible. Squirty stuff that comes in a toothpaste tube for the odd overnighter, it’s really sweet but just add hot water.

One of those plunger cup things - got mine from Macpac on special IIRC?
Camping the old plunger like at home and pre-grind beans before leaving

    God I love coffee

Have a look at cowboy coffee, there’s lots of videos on YouTube. It’s my go too when there more than one wanting coffee. The benefits of Aeropress is in cleanings it, the plunger wipes the cylinder clean and you only have to wipe the grinds from the end and it’s ready to go again.

Size: 1.38 MB this one is ceramic and gets regular use at home, the plastic ones would be the way to go in the bush.
Now what coffee to use is another topic.

Single origin for me 😀 if I’m away from my espresso machine.

Bialetti Mocha pot with pre-ground coffee. French press (On which Aeropress is Modell-ed on) is too muddy for my taste.

I'm a real fan of lightweight, I take ground coffee and just rub it into my gums

Have you got something to add about how you make good coffee in the bush? If not, move along please.
Meh - just thought you could lighten your carry and go further.... just carry instant and go hunting.

I love good coffee and only drink my stove top brew when at home (took a few weeks in the first lockdown to perfect) and I'm pretty fussy about which cafe I go to when out and about. However when I'm hunting all I'm doing is managing withdrawal of caffeine and I do that with simple instant. Those No-doz pills would achieve the same thing but at least I make something hot.

Another vote here for the Jed's coffee bags.

I tried some other forms of single cup filter and they're quite good especially if you go to the trouble of carrying a grinder for ultimate freshness.

But now I'm carrying everything on my back the Jed's gets the vote for convenience vs quality.

Stash the ground beans in the pot for transit etc.

Stove top takes up minimal space at camp and can get it going quick if you use warm water.
I put it on a knock off jet boil, with stove ring reducer and it works a treat.

    Similar setup to below:

I was just about to say this. If you're a coffee fiend, take one of these. Light and robust, easy to use, makes good coffee.

We’ve got an espresso machine at home and get through a fair bit of coffee, but when I’m in the bush I just take a container of Moccona and some UHT milk or cream. I find Moccona pretty damn good as far as instant goes: smooth but with a good whack of caffeine. It beats the crap out of other instants, and I prefer it over a Jed’s coffee bag (or even a Nespresso).

But if I had a jetboil I would get a coffee press
