Thread: Gear list for north island day hunts

The truth about all of the posts above is that you're not likely to need a third to half of the gear listed on a good day in the boonies.

BUT

If you've slipped and fractured your wrist, night is an hour away, it's raining and you can't remember the way back, whatever you're carrying is now your life support system.

Better to have it and not need it than the other way around.
