I have had it for years and I carried it on every venison run I have done since I was gifted it. Fair to say it has paunched a fair few animals.

I am after a good folding knife with a gut hook to replace it.
I am not a knife horder so don't really know the best brands or steels they are made from.
    All advice welcome.
    Cheers.

Gutted? ............ The pup I mean.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

What you try and do? Pop every vertibrae open? Or just beat it to death? You know you can't fillet rocks aye!

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Dunno about that. Was out and about the other day and we were on a quiet backroad about to cut thru a bush track home.
Dog was about 40 yards in front of me enjoying the walk. Heard a vehicle coming so called him back. He ignored me initially. Vehicle getting closer and louder so I yelled at him to heel.

Dumb ass thought it was better to sit down in the middle of the friggen Rd and wait for me to catch up.

Huge dump truck comes into view and the dumb shit just sits there.

Lucky the fella was goin slow. Truck comes to a complete stop and then F$&k head decides to move. Friggen embarrassing.
Fella stops next to me and I thought I was gunna get an ear full. He just laughed and let me know another truck was not far behind him.

No. He hasn't fallen of a cliff but I wouldnt put it past him.

The wife suggested a few times that we should get our dog some company.

I asked her if she wouldnt mind double the destruction.
    She hasn't mentioned it again.

Mine has suggested the same, “might calm him down having a buddy”. Yeah or they might just wreck twice as much shit.

My advice is...............................dont do it. They become their own pack and this makes things difficult when you want to be the boss. Never mind a pointers ears are only there for aesthetics and not actually functional till they are 3 or 4

You were wondering? I am honestly stumped. I can shave with that knife.

He snores as good as any human, farts constantly, spends an unhealthy amount of time licking his nuts, barks at his own shadow and other dumb shit, yet manages to chew the sheath and handle of a sharp knife without so much as a scratch.

It has me thinking all the dumb shit he does is just to take the piss
