Get the primus version, can run any cookware on it without having to buy special jetboil adapters or jetboil specific cookware

Second this, I have one and it is now my go to.
Have a Primus ETA cooker, it is great for pot/frypan etc as it has pins that screw into the cooker top.

The Bushbuck cooker is just a rebranded Ali-express cooker. As are the $65 cookers from Kmart. (I have one of these under the seat in the 4wd, solely for coffee.)

I bought the knock off from Kmart $80 its for boiling water BUT with a little thinking you would easily make pot stand for it... the flash ones arent that complicated and you can buy one as adapter ...you would still have more than half you $400 left over.

I've had a jet boil for a fair while now. (>10years??) (Gift via someone who worked for the importer.)
Do have the little fold out pot stand that folds up inside the cup. My mate has used it on a few occasions to fry up some fresh venison. Not ideal but it does work

I have the bushbuck one mostly gets used in the caravan for making cups of tea as its way faster than boiling on the stove, also use it out in the bush work ok for me on my budget.

A SOTO windmaster and butane cannister with a small toaks pot/cup/lid set up appeals.

I have the Jetboil stash, which is a separate pot and burner set up. Best of both worlds. I take a small pan if I want to cook up real food. Out of interest, I ran a quick boil test using 200ml of cold water on

    1. Jetboil burner + Jetboil pot + butane cannister - boil in 2 minutes
    2. Jetboil burner + Toaks 250ml cup and lid + butane cannister - boil in 4 minutes

So double the boil time. The major variable is the Jetboil pot, which has the fins on the underside which direct the heat to circulate more efficiently. So that's the downside of a separate burner set up, is you will get less efficient boil times, and therefore use more butane. So if your using the small butane cannister you may need to take care over a longer trip (block wind etc).

Get a Soto and use it on your Bushbuck pot.
I just put 3 cuts with the grinder through the exchanger ring so the pot sits lower.

I have a jetboil I have been using for about 10 years. I like it but it is optimized for boiling water.
It comes with a little fold out pot stand, jetboil accessories are pretty expensive so I just use a fry pan I got from the warehouse.
It works well enough for what I do and is always handy to have when the power cuts out.
