Thread: Meindel boots

My Salewa's are now talking to me after 6/7 months of use and am now looking for a pair of Meindel's. I remember someone on here mentioned a website that sold them pretty cheap a we while back. Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction? Cheers guys

Might have been me. Try varuste.net. They used to be a lot cheaper on there but economics has had an impact on that...

I brought my Douvre wide fit boots off varuste.net. 50% cheaper than NZ roughly even after getting them fedex'd here.

I looked for more of this same model 1.5 years ago and couldn't find any....how long ago did you get yours?

I got mine in March 2022. I remember because the Parliament protests were on at the time. Awesome boot. Have done a few Tahr hunts in them, could be a bit stiffer in the sole for that though. They are a B/C stiffness sole. Also they can be a bit warm in Summer due to them being high cut. Overall, really good for a wide range of situations. Great grip and really comfy.

They are cheaper on trademe me out of the UK than buying locally.

Absolutely no issues with the company.

Last time I checked varuste no longer shipped meindels - suspect local distributor put some pressure on manufacturer. Could still use a freight forwarder to bypass.

Try sport conrad, i got my last two pairs from them.

Checked this yesterday, and with NZ selected as the shipping country, I could see the full range. A few months ago, if NZ was selected as the shipping country, no Mendl boots would show up in the search.

Same here quentin. Looks like new Miendls are back on the cards again. Considering getting some glockners when funds allow.

Stager are a ripoff. NZ$ price is close to double what you pay in Europe.

Jump on eBay.de (German) if your Germans no good just use google translate to figure out the key words.
