Compass on a cord around your neck, when you shoot an animal in tussock country (especially with rolling hills and dead ground) , take a bearing on the animals last position prior to shot, take a gps way point on your own position so you have a back bearing if you need to search the ground. Helpful if you have used a rangefinder to get it exact too. Works for a hasty shot on Fallow in Matagouri belts too.
