bacho....... the plastic sheath makes it ideal for the pack or bumbag and they are surprisingly good to use, dead easy to keep sharp to.

Knives of Alaska muskrat, picked it up after caping out (and poking a couple holes in) a mountain goat. Haven't gotten to try it out yet, but it seems promising

Have you ever had that "sinking feeling" at the end of a big walk in that you might have "forgotten something"? Had that on my roar trip. After setting up the tipi, realised I'd left my Kill Bag behind, the contents of which included cord, meat bag, rubbish bag, and critically my sole knife. The thinking behind having a quality knife doesn't help when you leave it behind. Hence, my new rule. Always carry two knives. My back up just arrived, a Honey Badger Flipper - the one in orange (I blame @ryansonghurst) in medium, clip off weighs 81grams. Nice knife. Really good quality for the price $89 at Blademaster. Stored separate in the utility bag. The Nitze 4cm knife had been calling to me each time I went to Mitre 10. This sits in the tea/coffee/food bag for opening home made vacuum sealed meals and camp stuff. And because it "called to me"....

Did you shoot anything? I often wonder what people would do if they lost or forgot their knife and had to process an animal. Think I asked the question once on the forum.

Fortunately I was with my hunting buddies on a roar trip, so my mate kindly lent me his Buck knife which came in handy over a couple of animals. On the walk out I would have had to resort to using my Bahco pruning saw...

The only way I could leave a knife behind! Would be is to leave my pants and I think I may notice that after walking a little bit further from the Hennessy.
But saying that I was gutting rabbits and stuck it in the ground beside me and walked away.
Never to be seen again. Now in the sheath every time. That new one hardly leaves my side, it's NOT A can I use your knife.

Not exactly a knife but new to my collection. Not sure year of manufacture but early though, with stag antler handle. Had my eye out for one of these for years.
