The glistening is tiny bit of oil from frypan to protect it. The rust descale wheel on angle grinder brought it back and new stoning kit worked a treat at restoring abused edge

Something for cutting string, bale wrap, the occasional rabbit - or anything else that needs a bit of slicing.

You've got a talent Ross! I really like the clean lines and practical blade shapes.
Made by a farrier friend using worn out hoof rasps, razor sharp. Shit he's talented
Was going through dad’s knife draw in the kitchen tonight and dug this out of the back of the draw. It’s definitely carbon steel and I’m wondering if it’s an older Green River. Victorinox boner for scale
Any thoughts?![]()
That be great for cutting hunks into steaks...could be green river,or no name from butchers, works fifty years ago when wood n brass still allowed.bet it's dead easy to get n keep sharp.

Latest workhorse, great knife, strops back an edge quick and any number of times before a resharpen.
Got bored so made a push dagger for the cabinet, obviously it’s not ideal for hunting but fun to make.
