I followed mudgripz advise a while ago and bought a maxtoch sn6-2 now they have been upgraded I'v got a new model as well. Enough spill to sweep an area, eyes will show up past 500yds and plenty of throw to shoot out past 250 yds ( especially if you do a lillte mod on them). You will see further with an HID but carrying batteries that only last a shorttime and cables that always find a way to hook up on stuff just isnt worth the extra distance for me.
At 260gms they are light enough to mount on the scope, have a run time of 2hrs plus on rechargeable 18650 batts and all for around $80.00NZ You just dont need anything else( wanting something else is fine though)

Scouser, I hope you don't intend to waste more money on that stuff. Old technology, they are about five years behind everyone else out there and charging way too much. Sneeze is onto it. Absolutely stunning performance and reliability for not a lot of $$$. Most of their stuff is sold to military, police, search and rescue world wide.

LED Lenser P7 (general torch duties) will probably end up on my rimfire with a mount, as I already have the remote switch
Maglite 5D (Kept in my truck for emergencies)
El Cheapo Head Lamp (in my emergency bag)
LED Lenser Keyring torch (on keys)
About to purchase a light off brownells very soon WML White LED Flashlight - Sand | Weapon Light | INFORCEŽ for my shotgun
Thinking about upgrading the head lamp, getting a couple of LED Lanterns for power cuts etc, and getting a LED conversion for the Maglite
Otherwise I have all the light I need (I think)

125 lumens? I didnt realize they made lights for the daytime, or is it a new tactical torch so that no one can see you coming

HID are awesome i have a 150mm used on pigs it is very good and the bright white light does not spook them but the bullet between the ears does. can spot 600-800 meters away.

An old torch. Along side a SN its 3+ x times the weight, 4-5 times the price, runs on D cell batteries and only 1000 lms. A lux comparison would be useful I think .
Ask Titan308, I got a SN for him and he promptly sold his X21

    Thanks sneeze
Was out foxing last night spotting form the ute with light force 170 and trying to shoot with my ksn led torch on the rifle, it just doesn't have enough oomph to make out the bodies well enough past 150 yards eyes are no problem, but shooting around ewes and lambs you want to see the body. I find it no worries for deer though at the ranges I want to shoot

What's the mod to boost them up?

Shit. Good spotting. Streamlight 300 lumins looks like s better option.
